How We Load and Secure Your Bike — The Right Way

Proper motorcycle securing is the most important part of any bike transport job, short or long distance. Here is exactly how we do it.

Step 1: Ramp loading. Your bike is walked up a loading ramp onto the flatbed deck. No dragging, no tipping, no shortcuts.

Step 2: Positioning. The motorcycle is positioned straight and centred on the deck with the front wheel in the wheel chock to prevent rolling.

Step 3: Front fork compression. Soft loop straps are placed around the lower fork legs and cinched down to compress the front suspension slightly. This locks the front of the bike rigidly against movement.

Step 4: Rear anchor points. Rear straps are attached to the frame or subframe at proper anchor points, not around exhaust pipes, panniers, or plastic fairings. The bike is pulled tight from all four corners.

Step 5: Final check. We shake the bike firmly in all directions. If it moves, we adjust. If it holds solid, we are ready to move.

This process takes 8 to 10 minutes and prevents every form of transport damage we have ever seen happen to motorcycles that were loaded carelessly.
